To all going to the Augusta 70.3 ~ BEST OF LUCK!

There are a lot of you going down to Augusta this weekend.  Half IronMan!  Wow!  May the day be pleasant and cool.  May the waters be calm.  May your bike glide.  May the roads be smooth.  May the hills be short.  May your feet have wings.  May your day be one of grace!

Seasonal Ride Changes

It's that time again.  The light is shifting, and the seasons are advancing.  We have to start making changes to our weekly riding schedule.

This week's Novice Road Ride will be the last one for the regular Summer Schedule Format.  The ride will go out at 6:00 PM as usual, on Thrusday 16 September.

Next Week:  Nights Under Lights!  This is a new one.  We'll use the Novice Road Ride course and general format.  The big difference is that there will be a "Lights and Reflectors Requirement."  If you wish to come out with us, you must have good head and tail lights, reflective vest or sash, and reflective ankle bands.  Honest, folks, even if you can finish before you lose the light, it would only take a small event to put you in the dark on your return.  Safety First!  Besides, night group rides are FUN!

Wednesday Night Path Ride:  This one is about to change too!  Lights will be required after September 15.

Let's all great the season, get those lights out and working.

If you don't have lights, or are uncertain about their suitability, please come and chat with us in the shop.

Looking for a Fun Ride? Check us out!

We lead and promote all kinds of rides.  A great one for beginners, or for recreational cyclists is on Saturdays at 9:30 A.M.  All we need is you, your bike, and your helmet.  You will be out on the paths here in town, for about an hour, at an easy pace.  No one is left behind.  This one is about having fun!

Good luck and Godspeed to all the Erin's Fight Riders!

A large contingent of local riders are converging on Pine Mountain this weekend.  They are riding in the Cox Atlanta Bike MS event.  The purpose of the event is to raise funding for research and treatment of Multiple Sclerosis.  We here at Bicycles Unlimited are Proud of this group of wonderful cyclists!

Have you noticed? It's getting dark earlier.

Don't want to let a little thing like lack of daylight spoil your cycling fun?  Come in and chat with us about lighting options.  Remember, we go back to Standard Time on Sunday, November 7th.
